Location TBD ~ either Mr. Moore’s land or Mr. Marvin’s land

There will be rifle and shotgun shooting along with pumpkin launch.

  1. November ~ Henry Kim presented the Fox patrol’s fishing campout:
  1. December ~ Due to lack of interest, there will be no ski trip this year.               John Benavides and Gale Marvin will own winter camp at Camp Cherokee: Dec. 27-31, cost TBD.  Look for OA volunteers to staff camp.
  2. Sea Base ~ Steve Weaver researched.  There seems to be enough interest for at least 2 crews, but only available dates are in August which will interfere with band.  He will check on possible waiting list for June or possibility for going during spring break. Otherwise, plan for summer 2009 trip.  May look into Northern Tier as an alternative for summer 2008.

Email from Big Spring’s Webelos requesting a visit.  It was decided that Oct.      29th is a good meeting for them to attend.  Miko will invite Yale and Dartmouth packs to same meeting.  We will also invite them to Webelos Woods.

8. PLC update ~ James Herd

Mountain biking campout went well.  PLC voted to call parents and send scouts home on future campouts for: cursing, stealing food and/or disrespecting equipment.  All scouts will adhere to strict Class A uniforms for meetings and campouts.

  1. Troop recharter report ~ Subcommittee (Laura Jones, Brian Moore, Tim Meeks and Miko Sprunck) Laura had contact with New Life Christian Fellowship Church, and they are open to chartering our troop and continuing to let us meet at 1515 Blake. Brian contacted council to have one council rep. come with us to a meeting with New Life’s staff to answer any questions they may have. After options are finalized, the troop committee will vote on choices. Decision to be reached prior to December recharter.

Respectfully submitted,

Laura Jones
